Turning a syllabus into a study plan
Begin with the exam pattern: number of questions, marks per question, time and negative marking. This tells you where marks are easiest to win and how much speed you need.
Break each subject into topics and mark them as strong, average or weak. Spend your fresh hours on weak topics and use short revision slots for the strong ones.
Add previous year papers early. They show how the syllabus is actually tested, which is often narrower than the official list.
- Print the syllabus and tick topics as you finish them.
- Revise every topic at least three times.
- Take a timed mock every week once the first round is complete.
