Content sources, methodology and corrections

Last updated 14 October 2026.

We are independent

Pratiyogita Kosh is a private practice platform. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by the Staff Selection Commission, UPSC, any state public service commission, any bank, railway board or other recruiting body, or any college or university listed on this site. Names of exams, organisations and institutions are used only to say which exam or institution we mean.

Practice questions and papers

A source and answer-key notice is shown before online and downloaded practice exams. Imported or generated questions and recorded answer keys may contain errors and may not have been independently verified. Compare them with the original paper and official final answer key where available, and report a specific error using the correction contact below.

Source links identify the material used; attribution and this notice do not establish permission to republish third-party content or guarantee that an answer is correct. Rights in third-party questions and illustrations remain with their respective owners. See the paper’s source details and contact us about a correction or rights concern.

  • Practice questions, practice papers and mock tests are written and generated by Pratiyogita Kosh. They follow the pattern of an exam but they are not real exam questions. A paper titled “Practice Paper” is never an official or previous-year paper.
  • Archived real papers (for example SSC CGL Tier I 2024 shifts, UPSC Civil Services Prelims, UPPSC PCS Prelims) are reproduced from published question papers so that students can practise. The questions remain the property of the body that set them. Each such paper names its source on its own page. Answer keys on archived papers may come from candidate response sheets or archives, may not match the final official key, and should be checked against the official key.
  • Explanations and study notes are written by us.

Guide attribution, sources and review dates

A guide attributed to Pratiyogita Kosh names the website publisher. It does not identify an individual reviewer or establish a medical, teaching or admissions credential. Course and exam guides explain options; the institution, regulator or examination authority determines the applicable rules.

For admission decisions, use the current official notice for the exact programme, institution and session. A national course overview or a previous session’s example does not establish the next session’s requirements. Follow the source links beside specific facts where provided.

“Published” identifies the guide’s publication date. A separate “Sources reviewed” date is shown where a dated source review is recorded. It applies to the sources described in that guide, not to every linked college, every claim on the site or an admissions guarantee. A guide without that label should not be treated as having a recent source review.

An “Updated” date records a content change. A targeted correction can update that date without a complete review of the rest of the guide; the correction’s scope is described in the content.

How to use the college directory

College information combines public directory records with selected checks of institutional websites and official sources. We write the summaries ourselves. A listing is a starting point for comparison, not confirmation that a programme is currently approved, accepting applications or has available seats.

  • Coverage and order. Course and city pages cover the records in our directory. They are not complete counts of all active colleges. Comparison listings are alphabetical, not quality rankings; a course guide may show Lucknow entries first.
  • Exact programme and campus. Compare the same qualification at the teaching campus. Basic B.Sc Nursing and Post Basic B.Sc Nursing have different entry routes. A university’s affiliation role does not mean it teaches the programme at its own campus.
  • Approval and facilities. Reported approvals, accreditation, facilities and recruiters may come from directory records. Check the current programme, campus, session and permitted intake with the relevant authority. A recruiter name does not establish a placement result.
  • Fees. A fee-source link supports the labelled course components. It does not necessarily cover every charge or the current session. Compare year-by-year tuition, compulsory charges, accommodation and refundable deposits in writing; imported totals are not automatically verified all-inclusive costs.
  • Dates. A directory import date identifies the data snapshot. A website identity-check date records a check of the institution’s website, not its programmes, fees or approval. Fee-check dates and session labels apply separately to the stated components.

A directory enquiry requests information. It is not an admission application or seat allotment. Complete the official application and counselling process separately. See the privacy notice for how enquiry details are handled.

Exam updates, results and current affairs

Job, admit card, result, answer key and syllabus posts are short summaries we write from public notices. They are for information only and are not the official notification. Always read the official notice on the recruiting body’s own website before you apply. Current-affairs notes are written as study explainers and are not news reports.
