Who we are
Pratiyogita Kosh (“we”, “us”) runs this website. This notice explains what we do with the details you give us, in particular when you use an “Apply” button on a college or course page.
What we collect
- Details you enter: your name, mobile number and email address, and the college and course you were looking at.
- Technical details: your IP address, browser type and the page you were on. We use these to prevent spam and abuse and to keep the service secure.
- If you have an account and are signed in, we link the request to your account.
Why we use it
- To pass your enquiry to the college(s) you showed interest in, so that they or their authorised admission representatives can contact you.
- To contact you ourselves by phone, SMS, WhatsApp or email about admissions and related information.
- To keep a record of enquiries, remove duplicates, and protect the site from misuse.
We ask for your consent (the tick box on the form) before we use your details in this way. You can withdraw it at any time.
Who we share it with
We share your name, contact details and the course you asked about with the college you enquired about, and with its authorised admission representatives. Those organisations are responsible for how they use the details once they have them, and they may contact you directly. We do not sell your details to unrelated advertisers.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry details for as long as they are useful for admissions (normally up to 24 months), unless you ask us to delete them sooner or the law requires us to keep them longer.
Your choices and rights
You may ask us to show you the details we hold about you, correct them, delete them, or stop contacting you. Use the contact page and tell us the mobile number or email you used. We will ask you to confirm that it is yours before we act on the request. If a college has already received your details, we will also pass your request on to it.
Security
Enquiry details are stored on our own server, are visible only to authorised administrators, and are protected by access controls and rate limits. No system is perfectly secure, so please do not send us sensitive documents through the enquiry form.
Children
If you are under 18, please ask a parent or guardian to submit the form with you or for you.
Changes to this notice
We may update this notice from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
Pratiyogita Kosh is not a college and does not guarantee admission. College names, courses and fees are shown for information; please confirm them with the college.
