Help & frequently asked questions
Quick answers about mock tests, CBT scoring, previous year papers, accounts, and appearance options.
Getting Started & Account
Do I need an account to browse exams and papers?
No. You can browse published exams, syllabus notices, available previous papers and current-affairs articles before creating an account. The directory shows the resources currently available.
What features require an account?
Signing in allows you to save full-length mock test attempts, review past scorecards, bookmark tricky questions, access the personalized topic practice generator, and build your resume.
Can I practise for free?
Free practice resources are available. Check each test’s access tier and the current package catalogue. When the launch offer is active, eligible packages show their discounted price; the displayed access conditions apply.
Mock Tests & CBT Simulation
How does the timer and scoring work in mock tests?
Each test shows its own duration and marking rules before you start. Read those details rather than assuming they match every official exam. The timer continues while you are away, and the server enforces the attempt deadline.
How are test answers saved during a session?
In a live test, selections are kept on this device and synced to the server every few seconds. Check any connection or save warning before leaving. Downloaded attempts store their history on the device and calculate results after reconnection. Mark for Review flags a question to revisit.
Can I review my answers after submitting a test?
Submitted live attempts provide a result and question review with recorded keys and available explanations. Downloaded attempts calculate their result after reconnection. Use the review to choose what to revise, and report any disputed answer.
Can I re-attempt a mock test?
Yes. You can retake any mock test to improve your speed and accuracy. Your attempt history keeps track of past submissions so you can monitor your growth.
Previous Year Papers & Verification
Where do the previous year question papers come from?
Use the paper’s exam, year, shift and available attribution to understand its source. The library can include archived papers and exam-pattern practice sets; partial-paper labels identify incomplete sets. Check the original paper where available.
Can I practice previous year papers as timed mock tests?
Yes. Where available, you can launch an archived paper directly into the timed CBT simulator by clicking "Start Timed Mock" on the paper page.
How do you ensure answer keys are accurate?
Imported or generated questions and recorded keys may contain errors and may not have been independently verified. Compare with the original paper and final official answer key where available. Send a specific discrepancy and supporting evidence through the correction contact listed on the Contact page.
Platform & Display Preferences
Can I change the page theme?
The current interface uses a light page theme with a dark header. There is no appearance selector in the current navigation.
Can I practice on mobile devices?
Pratiyogita Kosh is fully responsive and optimized for mobile screens, tablets, laptops, and desktop monitors with zero horizontal overflow.
