IBPS refreshed the indicative vacancy list for the clerk-cadre drive on 29 September 2026; the state-wise tables now add up to about 11,663 posts in participating public sector banks. The prelims call letter was released on 1 October.

Details
The common recruitment process selects Customer Service Associates for participating public sector banks. There is no interview: selection rests on the preliminary exam, the main exam and a local language test.
On 29 September 2026 IBPS issued a corrigendum with a new vacancy annexure (indent for 2027-28). The figures are indicative and come from the banks; the final allotment depends on the vacancies the banks report later. Union Bank of India is shown as not reported in the annexure. The 11,663 total here is our own addition of the state-wise totals in that annexure, so use the official PDF for any bank- or state-level figure.
The notification gives the timeline as: preliminary exam in October 2026, its result in November, the main exam in December 2026 (all tentative).
