The Indian Coast Guard has invited online applications, through the Staff Selection Commission, for enrolled posts under the Coast Guard Enrolled Persons Test (CGEPT) for batches 01/2027 and 02/2027. The posts are Navik (General Duty), Navik (Domestic Branch), Yantrik and Hygienist-I. Applications run from 6 October 2026 (11:00) to 21 October 2026 (17:30) on ssc.gov.in.

Tentative vacancies for batch 01/27 are 117 male and 13 female Navik (GD), plus 28 Yantrik (Mechanical), 23 Yantrik (Electrical) and 9 Yantrik (Electronics). Batch 02/27 has 117 male and 13 female Navik (GD), 25 Navik (DB) and 20 Hygienist-I. Adding these up ourselves gives 190 posts in batch 01/27 and 175 in batch 02/27, 365 in all. Male Navik (GD) vacancies are zone-wise, and the numbers may change.

Navik (GD) needs Class 12 with Maths and Physics; Navik (DB) needs Class 10; Hygienist-I needs Matriculation or ITI; Yantrik needs Class 10 plus an engineering diploma. The fee is Rs. 550, with no fee for SC/ST candidates. Stage-I is a one-hour online test of 100 questions with no negative marking, followed by physical and document stages at Coast Guard centres.
