Details
The Combined Graduate Level examination is the Commission's largest yearly recruitment drive for graduates. It fills assistant section officer, inspector, auditor, accountant and similar posts across ministries and departments.
On 24 September 2026 SSC put out a six-page table of tentative vacancies, ministry by ministry and post by post, with the reservation split and the posts suitable for colour-blind candidates. The grand total in that table is 10,731. Earlier versions of this post carried a higher figure reported when applications opened, so use the Commission's own list. SSC adds that final vacancies may vary from the tentative ones.
Selection runs through two computer-based tiers and, for some posts, a skill or data-entry test followed by document verification.
Always confirm the final details in the official notification.
