Details
The Engineering Services Examination recruits engineers for central government services and posts in civil, mechanical, electrical and other engineering categories. You can apply for one category only. The notification expects about 480 vacancies, including 19 for persons with benchmark disabilities, and says the number may change.
The age limit is 21 to 30 years on 1 January 2027, so you should have been born between 2 January 1997 and 1 January 2006, with the usual relaxations for reserved categories. The preliminary exam is on 31 January 2027 and the main exam on 18 June 2027. The e-admit card is issued on the UPSC website shortly before the exam.
Applications are filled on the UPSC online portal. The fee is ₹200; women, SC, ST and PwBD candidates are exempt, and OBC and EWS candidates must pay in full.
