Details
The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) released admit cards for the October 2026 session of the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) on 27 October 2026. This is an extra session: NBEMS decided this year to hold FMGE three times a year instead of twice, after concerns over the difficulty and pass rate of the June session.
FMGE is the screening test that Indian citizens and OCI cardholders with a primary medical qualification from outside India must pass to register with the National Medical Commission or a State Medical Council. The October session is on 31 October 2026 in computer-based mode, with 300 multiple-choice questions in two parts of 150 questions, each part lasting 150 minutes.
Download the admit card from the candidate login on natboard.edu.in and take two printouts. Check your name, photo, exam centre, reporting time and entry closing time; entry is not allowed without the admit card. NBEMS has said the result will be announced on or before 30 November 2026. Follow the exam-day instructions printed on the card and in the NBEMS information bulletin.
