Details
SSC has told Junior Engineer Examination 2026 candidates that the exam city details for the Computer Based Examination Paper-I can now be seen by logging in on the Commission's website. Paper-I runs from 2 to 6 November 2026 for six listed papers: General Engineering (Civil and Structural, Electrical, Mechanical) and the IMD Scientific Assistant papers in Computer Science and IT, Electronics and Telecommunication, and Physics.
Admission certificates are expected to be available roughly 2-3 days before each candidate's own exam date, through the same login. Candidates who want their own scribe may need a fresh scribe registration, since older registrations were disposed of, and registration is now linked with Aadhaar authentication. Scribe OTR mapping and the Scientific Assistant subject change (for those who had also opted for JE Telecommunication) are open until 27 October 2026, 11:00 PM.
The JE (Telecommunication) paper is separate: it is planned for 30 November to 1 December 2026, and its city details are to be released 8-10 days earlier.
