Details
CAT is the entrance test for management programmes at the IIMs and many other institutions that accept its score. The official website, iimcat.ac.in, warns that it is the only CAT website and asks candidates to report look-alike sites to the helpdesk.
The IIMs extended only the fee payment window, by two days to 24 September at 5 pm, for candidates who had already registered by the 22 September deadline; the registration deadline itself was not extended. The media release of 29 September opens a limited edit window for three fields only: the photograph, the signature and the test state or city preferences.
The test is held on Sunday 29 November 2026 in three sessions, and the admit card download begins on 4 November. The registration fee, paid once whatever the number of programmes, is ₹1,350 for SC, ST and PwBD candidates and ₹2,700 for everyone else.
Always confirm the final details on the official CAT website.
