Understanding your result

A result can be a pass list of roll numbers, an individual scorecard or a final merit list. These are different documents: the first only says you moved ahead, the second shows your marks, and the third decides the final selection.

Cut-off marks differ by category and are often published after the result. If normalisation was used across several shifts, your raw score and your normalised score may not be the same.

After a qualifying result, look for the next step straight away: document verification, physical test, skill test or counselling. Each one has its own schedule and checklist.

  • Download and keep several copies of your scorecard.
  • Note the validity period of the scorecard if one is mentioned.
  • Prepare original documents early for verification.

Frequently asked questions

Where do I check my result?

Each post links to the official result page. You will typically need your roll number and date of birth.

What is the difference between result and final result?

A result usually covers one stage of the exam. The final result combines all stages and gives the selected list.

Can I ask for a re-evaluation?

Only if the conducting body offers it. Where it does, we mention the window and fee in the post.
