CSIR NET Exam Pattern for Mathematical Sciences

CSIR NET question paper for Mathematical Sciences contains 120 MCQs out of which candidates need to attempt 60 questions. Candidates need to complete the exam in three hours duration. It may be noted that in Part-A and -b, there is only one correct option. However, in Part-C there might be one or more correct options in each question. Marks will be allotted to candidates on identification of all the correct options.

Important Points About CSIR NET Exam Pattern

Questions in Part-A is common to all subjects. This section contains questions about topics/subjects such as logical reasoning, graphical analysis, analytical and numerical ability, quantitative comparisons, the formation of the series, puzzles, etc.

Part-B of CSIR UGC NET exam contains multiple-choice questions related to the subject. The questions in this section generally covers the topics given in the syllabus. Questions in the tests a candidate’s knowledge of scientific concepts

Part-C and/or application of scientific concepts. Questions analytical in nature where candidates are required to apply scientific knowledge to arrive at a solution to a given problem.

If the candidate attempts more than the required number of questions, only the first set of questions that needed to be considered for scoring CSIR UGC NET question paper is set in both Hindi and English

CSIR UGC NET Selection Process

CSIR NET selection process includes the following steps:

CSIR NET application form : All the candidates who are interested and qualified CSIR NET 2020 should fill the application form on the official website of the exam

CSIR NET exam : Candidates successfully registered for an exam requirement for CSIR UGC NET examination in accordance with the date and time mentioned in the admit card. CSIR NET usually held twice a year in June and December
